Arty’s Broken Heart is our Ready, Boxset, Go Premium Package. Designed for Key Stage 2 it brings Highly Sprung expertise and workshops into the classroom. This Boxset was developed with health and science experts from the University of Warwick and Coventry University, to empower children to make healthy life choices and be aware of their heart health. This boxset was created around the Highly Sprung production, ‘Professor Coerium’s Heart Emporium’ an adventure into the heart and how it works.

In Arty’s Broken Heart, a character from the show, Dr. Beat, calls on the children to help her find out what is wrong with Arty the heart. The sessions include videos from Dr Beat, excerpts from the show, artist-lead activities, and pre-planned teacher-led tasks. Through creative tasks, children are encouraged to summarise the health issues raised (such as poor diet and mental health) and help create a diagnosis for Arty from their new-found knowledge of heart health. Arty’s Broken Heart has been designed to build skills in self-awareness, imagination, questioning, finding solutions, and to be an unforgettable culturally rich physical theatre experience.
