Created in response to the mental health crisis facing young people, Fall Out immerses students in energy fuelled activities exploring Highly Sprung’s devising processes, set to the soundtrack of a bouncing nightclub.

Themes: Theatre Devising GCSE and A Level, Physical Theatre, Drama, Dance, Mental Health and Well-being.

Fallout was a touring performance produced by Highly Sprung in 2016. Created in response to the growing mental health crisis being experienced by young people, the performance focuses on three relatable young people thrown into a journey of love, loss, and self- discovery. The Fall Out devising programme as part of Ready, Boxset, Go immerses young people in energy fuelled activities exploring Highly Sprung’s devising processes combining movement, drama, character, and emotion, set to the soundtrack of a bouncing nightclub.

The Fallout boxset is designed for Key Stages 4&5, and are particularly appropriate for GCSE and A Level drama students. This boxset has been created to support students through the theatre devising process and/or physical theatre modules. Packed with devising tasks and starting points for creation, students are guided through the Highly Sprung rehearsal process to devise their own mental health inspired performance. This boxset includes factual content about mental health and explores the issue through creative tasks. This boxset has been developed to build theatre creation skills, foster a ‘performance ready’ ethos in the group, and an awareness of mental health issues amongst their age group.
