HAF Drama and Dance Workshops for Young People
Thanks to funding from Coventry City Council, we will be running 5 days of fun and creative drama and dance workshops this summer for young people aged 6–16.
The workshops use Highly Sprung’s drama and movement approach to keep children active, engaged and having fun.
Each day includes imaginative drama activities, energetic dance and movement games, and team challenges.
Young people will build confidence, creativity, communication skills, coordination and teamwork while taking part in exciting activities and problem-solving tasks.
Every day ends with a chance to share what they have achieved through a short performance or celebration of their progress.

Adventures in Imagination – Drama, Dance & Craft
5 Epic Days of Adventure with Highly Sprung
6 – 11 year olds
Each day is a completely different immersive experience, combining craft activities, drama, movement and imagination to create something extraordinary each day!
Day 1: Giant Creatures
Create your own creatures, creating jaws, claws and wings, and working together to bring a giant beast to life in a spectacular mini-performance.
Day 2: Time Travel Adventure
Create time gadgets and journey through Coventry’s past and future, solving challenges and unlocking stories through drama and movement.
Day 3: Space Mission
Train and become an astronaut and travel to discover alien worlds. Blast off on an action-packed mission using your imagination and physical theatre to explore the universe.
Day 4: Superhuman Academy
Discover your super powers! Craft your own superhero identity, train like a pro, and work as a team to defeat a mysterious villain.
Day 5: Build a City
Work together to construct a city, create characters who live there, and bring your world to life through storytelling, Lego building and performance
Adventures in Creativity – Drama, Dance & Craft
A 5-day activity for young people who want to create, design and make something real
12 – 16 year olds
This is your chance to become part of a creative studio and build your own brand inspired by Coventry’s landmarks, streets and culture. You’ll work as part of a team to come up with ideas, develop your brand and decide what it stands for.
We’ll head out into Coventry city centre to explore, take photos, sketch ideas about the places around you. Back in the studio, you’ll turn your ideas into real products like t-shirts, tote bags, hats and badges that you design and make yourself.
You’ll also use movement and drama to bring your brand to life, experimenting with how it looks and feels when it’s presented and performed. Along the way, you’ll create short TikTok-style videos and social media content to promote your brand.
The week finishes with a live fashion show and brand launch where you’ll showcase your work and perform in front of an audience.
No experience needed – just bring your ideas, your energy and your style.
