What a year! 2024 has seen Highly Sprung work with thousands of children and young people through performances, in schools, with our Young Producers programme, Sprung Youth and SO much more. Today we’re looking back at our highlights and the impact we’ve made through our work.
Projects & Performance
- Through performances of CastAway, Flying Theatre, Anthology and the Physical Fellowship to name just a few, we’ve welcomed 13, 495 audience members across our performances.
- Our newest show Accelerate was performed to 2000 young people across schools for our Autumn tour.
- We worked with 38 Young Producers aged 13 – 16, on the Physical Fellowship 2024 and the Youth Energy Summit. PLUS 14 Young Directors working on performance project Anthology.
Sprung Youth, Education and Community
- Sprung Youth continues to be a major part of our Coventry delivery, with 270 hours of sessions delivered for ages 6 – 19. Alongside that we funded 15 bursary places, and welcomed 391 young people to our free holiday workshops.
- 711 people benefitted from our Play Days programme in Summer & Autumn this year.
- 16 original performances were created by our Associate Artists and Young Performers for the Physical Fellowship 2024… our BIGGEST year of the festival so far!
- 924 hours were spent by the artists teaching in schools and community settings, working with 2074 children & young people.
Artists, Organisational Development & Creative Partnerships
- 440 hours were spent in rehearsals
- We worked with 24 freelancers, working a total of 7840 hours.
- We delivered a major Organisational Development project, delivering pilot projects, training 10 Associate Artists, growing our team, investing in environmental sustainability and working with our Young Producers.
