Highly Sprung Play Days are back for 2024! As we prepare for a busy year of play and creativity, we’re looking for a steering group to help shape the events – ensuring they are embedded in our local communities. Keep reading to find out more and get involved.
About our Play Days
Our programme of Highly Sprung Play Days started in 2023, bringing together local audiences and fostering connections within Radford, through the transformative power of creativity and play.
For 2024, we’ll be hosting 2 Family Play Days and 2 days for older groups and teens. These are presented as part of Go Parks with the Positive Youth Foundation, funded by the Inclusive Communities Fund. They aim to provide a day of magic, art and fun for the community, inviting local families and young people to laugh, smile and dream with us through the power of play.
Could you be part of our steering group?
Are you based in Radford or Foleshill? Or are you part of a community group, organisation or school that is? Ahead of our Play Days, we’re looking for a steering group to help shape the event – ensuring they are perfect for our local communities. We’d love the event to be a collective, collaborative effort, shaped by the needs and interests of our local audiences. It would be brilliant to partner with a range of individuals and organisations on our steering group, with people of different ages, backgrounds and experiences.
What’s involved in being on the steering group?
Sitting on the steering group will involve attending 6 meetings between May and August 2024. Meetings will be held in person at the Daimler Powerhouse, Coventry, or via Zoom for those who need, and will last 1 hour.

- Monday 8th July
- Monday 22nd July
- Monday 5th August
- Monday 12th August
Dates of Play Days:
We will be holding 4 Play Days, with 2 summer days during August and 2 Autumn days during October. Event details and dates will be announced nearer to the time.
