Join the Coventry Cultural Education Partnership this October Half Term for Give it a go! Make it your own! Celebrate!

Open to ages 7 to 14, come along for 3 days of action-packed fun, performing arts and digital creativity. Keep reading for all the details you need. Alternatively you can book a spot right now via this Google Form.

Ever wanted to find a way to get more creative, but didn’t know where to start or what you might like? This programme is designed for you…

Join us for 3 days of action-packed fun performing arts and digital creativity. This opportunity is open to all young people aged from 7 to 14, with limited spaces available – booking is essential! You do not need previous experience and can be of any ability. All you need is the energy to give it a go!

Spaces are FREE and include a free packed lunch.

What’s Included:

Day 1: GIVE IT A GO!

A chance to experience different activities. Take part in taster sessions from six professional cultural organisations. Have a go at dance, drama, music, animation, and digital creation to find out what you like best.

Day 2: MAKE IT YOUR OWN!

Select your favourite activity and develop your skills. Working for a full day on your chosen activity to produce your own creation.

Day 3: CELEBRATE!

Join together to showcase your new-found music, dance, acting, or digital skills to family and friends.

All activities are free and you get a free packed lunch included! The perfect chance to make friends, have fun, and develop some great new skills.

List of activities you can try:

Ascension Dance:

Ascension Dance is a Coventry based company that aims to inspire young people through creative and empowering dance experiences. Contemporary dance sessions inspired by parkour, free running, and breakdance. It is the perfect opportunity to challenge your own creativity, produce high-energy movement, and learn partnering skills.

Coventry Music Hub:

The major provider of music activity to children and young people across Coventry. Providing high-quality teaching and learning across a wide variety of diverse music styles and genres working with professional artists, showcasing talent, progression, and achievement.

Highly Sprung:

Leading physical theatre company making work for and with children and young people. Creating original physical theatre that empowers young people to explore and express their unique creativity and identity. Using physical theatre to develop imagination, promote creativity and inspire enjoyment.

Let’s Animate:

Based in a micro animation studio at Fargo Village, Coventry, Let’s Animate creates animated digital content, alongside animation workshops, courses, and clubs. Introducing individuals to storytelling, expression, engagement, and creativity through the animation process. Helping everyone to tell their own animated stories.

Ludic Rooms:

Create post digital artworks, experiences and events that empower communities, offering creative opportunities to engage with technologies through experimentation and play. Led by a collaborative approach and a passion for creative technology. Uncovering the little moments of joy that hide somewhere between digital things and the real world.

Motherland Music:

Runs music workshops based on composers of colour and was born out of a desire to know more about composers of colour in the Western Classical sphere.

Combining a passion for community outreach and a desire to research and share more composers of colour with the community. Motherland Music run fun, inclusive, and educational workshops that are focussed on composers of colour. Motherland Music love creativity and encourage this in participants by guiding them in composing their own piece.
